GRALL KICKS OFF CAMPAIGN FOR STATE HOUSE AT NAVY SEAL MUSEUM
On Monday, February 23, 2015, Erin Grall kick-started her campaign for the Florida House of Representatives, District 54 with a powerful event at the National Navy UDT-Seal Museum. Over 200 supporters flooded the museum to show their support for Grall and to honor the men and women who have served and continue to serve this great nation.
Museum Executive Director, Master Chief Rick Kaiser, spoke on the history and the future of the museum. Local superstar, Eliza Levy dazzled the attendees with her rendition of our National Anthem. Host Committee member, Dr. James Shafer introduced the evening’s Honoree, Lieutenant (Ret) Gordon Cole. Cole was 24 years old when he fought for our armed forces at the Battle of Iwo Jima. Following Lieutenant Cole’s remarks, Helen Shafer gave a heartfelt introduction to Erin Grall, who she has known for over 30 years.
Grall took to the podium and delivered an impassioned speech that evoked cheers, laughter, and shouts of support from her potential constituents. She touched on her experience as a business owner and an attorney, her commitment to the community, and her desire to make a difference for the citizens of District 54. She stressed the importance of having a person of good moral character representing our unique part of the State of Florida; someone who is in touch with the community and who will show strength when standing up for issues that directly impact our daily lives, our families, and our children’s futures. She stated, “The importance of leadership in Tallahassee cannot be overstated. I’ve always been straight with people and you know where I stand.” Grall has a proven track record in the community to back up such a bold statement, and many in the room could attest to her fortitude. She believes that government should get out of the way and only then will our country truly prosper.
Grall wrapped up her remarks and graciously thanked her devoted family for allowing her to give back to the community and to the State of Florida. She introduced family friend and local attorney, John Moore, to close out the event. Moore praised Grall’s passion, energy, and competencies for the job of State Representative. He encouraged all in attendance to engage in the campaign as donors, volunteers, and voters.
The Grall campaign was truly humbled by the outpouring of support and encouragement, and would like to thank the National Navy UDT-Seal Museum, David Godshall, U.S. Navy (SEAL), Rick Kaiser, BMCM SEAL (Ret), and Ken Corona, YNCM (Ret).
Grall is married to Michael Bielecki and together they have two children, Aleska and Gunther. She is the managing partner of her family’s firm, Grall Law Group, and has spent decades serving her community. She is committed to a thriving, healthy lagoon, local control over our schools, and a strong economy for Florida.
